Decided to break down some 2010 U.S. Census data to see just how long it takes the typical Denton County resident to travel to work. Based on the Census, it’s just a little over 30 minutes.
Yes, I know the 2010 Census is a couple of years old now, but I also decided to map the data for your viewing pleasure. The map shows data broken down by neighborhoods. You can see trends where you live and trends in other towns and cities.

The map is color coded. The blue areas represent people who travel between 0-10 minutes to work. The green represents 10 to 20 minutes. The orange represents 20 to 30 minutes, and the red represents 30 to 40 minutes.
