Using state data, I put together an interactive map that shows the progression of the drought across counties in Texas. The data was collected from this website: http://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/dmshps_archive.htm.
The map uses shades of orange to illustrate the severity of the drought. Basically, the darker the shade of orange, the worse the drought is in that area. And there are five levels of severity — dry, moderate, severe, extreme and exceptional.
